Monumento a Domenico Modugno
Monument dedicated to Domenico Modugno along the homonymous seafront in Polignano a Mare. Against the backdrop of the blue Adriatic, the beautiful three-meter tall bronze statue dedicated to this wonderful performer of so many memorable songs, like “Volare nel blu dipinto di blu”, is a fitting homage to his hometown to a great innovator of Italian music.

Porta o Arco Marchesale
The gate, now called Arco Marchesale, was the only way, through a drawbridge, to access the town until the eighteenth century. Still visible are the gate holes, which activated the chains of the drawbridge, the steps of the two doors, the grooves of the iron grating, and on the vault, the three hatches through which boiling oil was poured on attackers.
